Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether it is his policy to follow the recommendation of the Royal College of Psychiatry by ensuring that six of the last eight spaces on the New Hospitals Programme are filled by mental health hospitals.

The 40 announced schemes include new mental health hospitals. We have received 128 expressions of interest which are currently being assessed.
