Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what guidance his Department provides to people diagnosed with hepatitis C acquired through NHS blood treatments where medical records have been lost.

People who think they have contracted hepatitis C via National Health Service-supplied blood or blood products should contact their general practitioner in the first instance and also the Skipton Fund, one of the ex-gratia payment schemes offering support to those affected by this tragedy.
