Overseas Aid: Poverty

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, pursuant to the oral contribution of the Prime Minister to the Liaison Committee on 16 September 2020, HC 744, whether it is his policy to to spend UK aid on tackling poverty.

The Government will prioritise the bottom billion, the very poorest around the world, as part of our core mission.This is in our national interest and it will project the UK as a force for good in the world.
