Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, for what reason his Department invented quotes by non-existent jobseekers in its recent leaflet on benefit sanctions; and if he will make a statement.

The examples in the ESA sanctions factsheet were used for illustrative purposes to help people understand how the benefit system works. They were based on conversations our staff have had with claimants, however they have now been removed to avoid confusion.
