The Government is committed to improving living standards for everyone in Derby and across the UK, through growing the economy and tackling inflation.

Action taken at Budget by the Chancellor is already making a difference - increasing the National Living Wage, raising the State Pension, and expanding free school meals for families in Derby. Our new Great British Summer Savings package goes further, making bus travel free for 5-15-year-olds in England throughout August and cutting VAT on summer attractions and children's meals - so attractions like Fun Valley can benefit from the reduced rate in Derby South, freezing fuel duty, and suspending tariffs on 125 product lines to reduce prices on everyday staple goods.
