Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many pupils were in schools rated as good or outstanding in (a) 2010 and (b) the most recent period for which figures are available.

Official statistics released by Ofsted showed there were 4,855,336 children in Good or Outstanding schools as of 31 August, 2010. See Ofstedā€™s Dataview site for details:

On 29 June 2017, Ofsted released their latest inspection data as of 31 March 2017, reporting there were 6,620,625 children in Good or Outstanding schools.
