The UK government works with public and private sector partners, both for-profit and not-for-profit (including faith-based organisations) as part of mixed health systems in developing countries, to support efforts to offer affordable, high quality health services, and to respond to COVID-19. The over-riding procurement policy applied by the FCDO in working with private providers is driven by ensuring value for money. The FCDO requires all partners to provide full cost transparency throughout the lifecycle of its programmes.
