Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many nurses from non-EEA countries who were granted Tier 2 visas between 6 April 2011 and 5 April 2012 are employed in each hospital trust on annual salaries below £35,000.

The Home Office estimate that there were 713 visas issued to nurses in 2011/12 to whom the pay threshold and six year cap would apply if they are still resident in the United Kingdom.
