Information about which general practitioner practices are owned, rented or leased is not routinely collected by NHS England.

Total investment in general practice premises for 2016/17 is due for publication by NHS Digital on 20 September, and will include all rent reimbursement and other premises-related costs for general practice in England.

The recent independent report by Sir Robert Naylor highlighted the need to improve data on the primary care estate. The Government will set out its response to the report’s recommendations shortly.
