Mental Health Services: Children and Young People

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans the Government has to make sure that all children and young people at risk of mental illness receive support to prevent the development of mental health problems.

The Department provides data for commissioners to identify children and young people most at risk of mental illness. There are a range of programmes which prioritise this support, including Family Hubs and Start for Life; Supporting Families; the Healthy Child Programme; addressing speech, language and communication needs; and mental health support teams.
