The United Kingdom is a founding member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and is represented at the WTO by Julian Braithwaite, our Ambassador and Permanent Representative in Geneva. The Government is increasing the size of the WTO team at the UK Mission to the UN in Geneva, including to support this work on the UK’s draft schedules. It will ensure that the Mission has the resources to enable the UK to play a full, active and leading role in the multilateral trading system as we leave the European Union.
