Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what plans NHS England has to remove treatments included on the National Cancer Drugs Fund list; and what estimate his Department has made of the number of treatments on the National Cancer Drugs Fund list that are likely to be removed in prioritisation reviews in the next five years.

NHS England has advised that its Cancer Drugs Fund (CDF) panel expects to hold a meeting on 29-30 July 2015 to prioritise the drugs/indications currently available on the national CDF list.

The CDF in its current form is due to operate until 1 April 2016 and therefore the revised national CDF list will be operational until at least then.
