The temporary and non-contractual COVID-19 guidance developed by the Department in March 2020 has now been withdrawn. Normal contractual terms and conditions covering sickness arrangements make provision for up to six months full pay and six months half pay for National Health Service (NHS) staff. Some NHS employers may have additional guidance in place for those who contract COVID-19.
