Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what estimate he has made of the cost of rolling out the dental contract reform prototypes pilot scheme throughout England.

We are working closely with NHS England and NHS Improvement to introduce a new dental contract, but no decision has yet been taken on wider roll out. The intention is that the new approach is cost neutral but an assessment of any roll out costs will be part of preparation for any wider roll out. The intention is that any new approach maintains or increases access, improves oral health whilst also being sustainable for dental practices and affordable for the National Health Service.
