Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what recent assessment he has made of the potential effect on the Welsh automotive sector when the UK leaves the EU.

The Department for International Trade and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy officials are working together to get the best possible deal for the UK automotive industry, including in Wales. The Government will continue its longstanding programme of support for the competitiveness of our automotive industry, including pursuing a bold and ambitious Free Trade Agreement with the EU that provides the greatest possible tariff-free and frictionless trade in goods and services.
