Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how his Department plans to ensure that defibrillators are promoted by health and wellbeing boards.

Health and wellbeing boards are responsible for ensuring that local health and local authority organisations work effectively together to improve outcomes. Where the health and wellbeing board concludes that investment in defibrillators should be a priority for a local area, we would expect them to work with partner organisations to promote them.
