Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many health visitors were employed in NHS trusts and clinical commissioning groups in England in 2010.
This question was answered on 20th March 2017
NHS Digital publishes information on the number of nursing, midwifery and health visiting staff employed in the National Health Service in England each month.
As at September 2010, there were 7,849 full-time equivalent health visitors working in the NHS Hospital and Community Health Service workforce.
