Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what additional support her Department provides for people who are deaf and hard of hearing during visa application processes.

Staff are available at visa centres to assist applicants who have a disability (including those who are deaf or hard of hearing). We also encourage applicants who have a disability (or who have accessibility requirements) to bring someone to assist them if needed.

Furthermore, the new Access UK online application system, which aims to replace all existing paper and online application forms has been developed to support users with access needs, particularly in regards to navigation, compatibility with support tools, content and structure.
