Question to the Department for International Trade:
To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what discussions he has had with his international counterparts on labour mobility within trade agreements; and what his policy is on including labour mobility for (a) service providers, (b) intra-business transferees and (c) investors in future UK trade agreements.
We cannot negotiate and conclude trade agreements while we are a member of the EU. However, we can and do have discussions on our future trading relationships and in conjunction with the Home Office, we are looking into a range of options for our future trade policy.
Once we have exited the EU we will continue to champion the cause of free trade.
