Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department has sent surplus personal protective equipment to India to help tackle the covid-19 pandemic.

The United Kingdom has sent three oxygen generators, 1,200 ventilators and 495 oxygen concentrators in response to the Indian Government’s most urgent priorities. We have approached the Government of India to offer excess personal protective equipment. However, to date, they have not requested such support from the UK Government.
