Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether he has received representations from (a) parliamentarians and (b) the public on the appointment of a new chair of the Guyanese Election Commission.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has received representations from both parliamentarians and the public on this matter. I refer the member for Hornsey and Wood Green to the answer given by The Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my noble Friend, the Rt Hon. the Baroness Anelay of St Johns to question HL 5087 on 6 February.
