Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether his Department has collected evidence on the potential impact of 38.4 tonne volumetric concrete mobile plants on the UK's roads.

Following consultation in 2017, National Highways (then Highways England) commissioned a report into the loading effect on bridges of permitting volumetric concrete mixers (VCMs) to operate at higher than the standard applicable weights for vehicles of their design, including 38.4 tonnes.
