The published estimates for financial year 2020-21, the latest year for which figures are available, indicate that £0.95 billion or 4.9% of Ministry of Defence's total procurement spend went directly to SMEs; and £3.5 billion or 18.1% of MOD's total procurement spend went indirectly to SMEs. These figures are updated annually and can be found on gov.uk Central Government spend with SMEs - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
