Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will hold discussions with the Infrastructure Projects Authority on undertaking a project assurance review of HS2 Phase 2b; and if he will make it his policy to publish the outcome of that review.

Officials are already holding discussions with the Infrastructure Projects Authority (IPA) on undertaking a project assurance review of HS2 Phase 2b.

We have not in the past made available assurance review outcome reports to the public domain, as to do so would heavily compromise the ability of the IPA to offer honest and impartial advice to the Department.
