Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps he is taking to prevent suicides.

We published the progress report of the cross-Government Suicide Prevention Strategy on 9 January. The attached document, ‘Preventing suicide in England: Third progress report of the cross-government outcomes strategy to save lives’, sets out how we are updating the strategy in key areas to drive implementation both nationally and locally.
