Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, if she will take steps to improve the support provided to victims of trafficking in the UK following a positive conclusive grounds decision from the National Referral Mechanism.
Potential victims of trafficking in England and Wales are supported through a Government-funded contract, delivered by The Salvation Army.
This provides vulnerable victims of human trafficking with a tailored and specialised package of care and support. Once a victim receives a positive conclusive grounds decision, the Salvation Army will work with the victim for further 14 days, including developing a tailored plan on how they can move on safely to integrate into UK society or to return to their home country.
