To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what information his Department holds on the average travel distance for patients to (a) Type 1, (b) Type 2 and (c) Type 3 accident and emergency units in each English region.

Determining the location of services is a matter for clinical commissioning groups, based on their clinical expertise and the providers in their local health economy.
