Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, if he will make an urgent assessment of operator participation rates in the voluntary reporting scheme for safety-critical maintenance work on North Sea oil and gas installations.

Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) reports that around 70% of the industry currently participates in its voluntary scheme.

The Health and Safety Executive is in active dialogue with OGUK regarding how best industry can track, report and act upon its performance.
