Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what assessment he has made of the potential effects on regional identity and character of adopting a metro mayor model.

If any bespoke devolution deal, which an area agrees with Government, includes, because the area has so chosen, a metro mayor, the costs and benefits of that deal will be part of the conversations the Government and the area will have.
