Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, with reference to the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency's online guidance, Register a homeopathic medicine or remedy, first published on 20 January 2015, what the evidential basis is for the statement that homeopathy aims to trigger the body's natural system of healing; and if he will make a statement.

The purpose of the statement is simply to provide a description of the philosophy of homeopathy for the general public. It is not included or referred to in the approved product information for any homeopathic medicines authorised or registered in the United Kingdom.
