Section 106 planning obligations and the Community Infrastructure Levy provide separate mechanisms for securing developer contributions to infrastructure such as roads, schools, flood defences, health and sporting facilities. Local authorities decide how these contributions and receipts are spent , based on local circumstances andthe views of the community, and this information is held locally.
