Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many claims for asylum on the basis of having been trafficked or being at risk of re-trafficking have been submitted since 2010.
Each asylum case is considered on its individual merits in accordance with our international obligations and protection is granted where it is needed. Information regarding the reasons that an individual has claimed asylum is not centrally recorded, and could only be obtained through a manual search of individual case files. This would only be achievable at a disproportionate cost.
