Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, how many former residents of Grenfell tower have not yet been permanently rehoused; and if he will undertake an assessment of the adequacy of support for people and families affected by the fire.
According to the latest data from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council, as of 11 June 2020, of the 201 households from Grenfell Tower and Walk that require rehousing, 194 households have moved into permanent accommodation. Of the 7 households who have not yet moved into a permanent home, they have either accepted a permanent home or have a suitable permanent home reserved for them that meets the Council’s assessment of their housing need.
