Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, if he will amend the document entitled, COVID-19: National Framework for Prison Regimes and Services, published on 2 June 2020 to include an undertaking to consult with (a) prisoners and (b) other stakeholders on the content of Extraordinary Delivery Models.

We have no plans to amend the COVID-19: National Framework for Prison Regimes and Services published on 2 June 2020.

Exceptional Delivery Models (EDMS) are currently being developed taking account of a wide range of consultees including recognised trade unions, staff, external partners and public health colleagues. We will encourage governors and directors of prisons to engage with their offender populations when using the EDMs to create their recovery regime management plans.
