Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of requiring new drivers to have driven for a minimum number of hours before being granted a driving licence.

The Department for Transport has commissioned research on and considered a range of measures, including a minimum number of hours.
