Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what mechanism her Department has in place to ascertain whether a childcare or early years provider has taken the actions outlined for it in a welfare requirements notice.
Ofsted is the non-Ministerial Government Department responsible for the regulation of childcare providers in England and reports to Parliament on its performance. Ofsted is responsible for taking any necessary follow-up action when it has served a welfare notice to an early years provider following an inspection.
