Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, if he will equalise the amount of Universal Credit payable to employees and self-employed people who have the same annual income.

Universal Credit is assessed on a monthly basis and is based either on the earnings someone actually received in that month, or where relevant for a self-employed claimant, the minimum income floor.
