Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, what steps he is taking to ensure the Premier League meets its commitment to fund grassroots sport.

I have already held preliminary discussions with the Executive Chairman of the Premier League on this subject. We will continue to discuss the PL's funding intentions, and together we will work in partnership to ensure funding for grassroots football remains strong. The Premier League is a global success and it is vital that this pinnacle of domestic competition is supportive of the National Game.
