The potential implications of closing the Independent Living Fund are set out clearly in the Equality Analysis published on 6 March 2014. As a part of this we made a commitment to monitor the actual impact of the closure of the ILF on former users of the ILF.

All local authorities have been allocated sufficient funding to ensure that existing commitments to former ILF users can be paid in full for the remainder of this year.
