Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, when he plans to bring forward legislative proposals to abolish student bursaries for degree courses in the nursing, midwifery and allied health professions; and if he will make a statement.
This question was answered on 12th December 2016
The reforms to pre-registration healthcare education funding, for introduction on 1 August 2017, will not require amendments to the legislation under which the National Health Service bursary is provided.
