Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, how many British women were arrested for reporting rape in the United Arab Emirates (a) between 2011 and 2016 and (b) during 2016.

​We are unable to give information on the number of British nationals that have reported rape to the Emirati authorities. Due to the low numbers involved, this may lead to individuals being identifiable.
