Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what the maximum permitted penalty is for an attack by a person on an assistance dog in England and Wales.

The maximum penalty for an attack by a person on an assistance dog is 6 months’ imprisonment or an unlimited fine or both.
