The £1.1 billion investment in local transport networks is in addition to the £250 million pothole action fund. The £1.1 billion will be allocated for local highway improvements which aims to either reduce congestion at key locations, upgrade or improve the maintenance of local highway assets across the country, or unlock economic and job creation opportunities. Further details will be announced in due course.
