Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what effect recent changes in the rate of sterling have had on the finances of the NHS.

The vast majority of income and costs of National Health Service budgets are denominated in pounds sterling. There are a number of reasons for changes in NHS finances, and, as ever, specifically identifying the impact of exchange rate changes is not routinely undertaken.
