DCMS work’s with other government departments, industry and arms length bodies to undertake specific work in standards bodies that supports specific policy objectives and societal needs. This may take the form of direct participation or supporting initiatives that work with standards. Two employees currently work full time on technical standards issues in DCMS, in conjunction with a number of others in DCMS and across government who are either devoted full time or part of their time to standardisation work.
