The independent Office for National Statistics is responsible for producing the calculation of the Consumer Price Index measure of inflation. The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) is responsible for producing independent economic and fiscal forecasts. The OBR will publish a full analysis of the prospects for inflation in their forecast at Autumn Statement.
