Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps the Government plans to take to ensure that (a) nuclear power plants, (b) research facilities and (c) hospitals will continue to be able to import radioactive materials after the UK has left the EU.
The Government is committed to ensuring effective arrangements for nuclear co-operation with both Euratom and the rest of the world, including the trade and transport of nuclear and radioactive materials. The UK’s ability to import medical radioisotopes, which will not be affected by withdrawal from Euratom.
