Question to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, whether he plans to bring forward proposals to alter the number of fixed-odds betting terminal machines allowed in each betting shop.
The Government currently has no plans to alter the restrictions on the premises which can be licensed to have fixed-odds betting terminal machines or alter the number of FOBTs allowed per betting shop. Nevertheless, the Government continues to monitor the effects of existing controls and if need be will take action if these controls are found to be insufficient.
