Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether officials in his Department plan to review the value for money of triggering Operation Safeguard in 2023.

The deployment of Operation Safeguard remains under constant review for value for money.
Operation Safeguard is an effective contingency that has allowed us to keep serving the courts and, in certain regions, to meet an acute, localised rise in the prison population.
