Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, from which countries the trees required for ecological mitigation planting for High Speed 2 will be sourced.

HS2 Ltd’s aim is for all trees to be UK grown, if possible. Until the procurement process has been complete it is not possible to confirm the actual countries from which trees will be sourced.
